  • Is my personal information safe when I order through your website?

  • We use PayPal as our on-site payment processor, and you can make payment for purchases directly from us using a PayPal account, a credit card, or even an e-check. Paypal's reliability and security are outstanding, and it allows us the luxury of not having to maintain our own secure servers to handle transactions and store information. In fact, we never even see your private information and we do not store any personal data on our website.

    We use multiple fulfillment channels to ensure the prompt delivery of our products. If your purchase is through Amazon it is processed entirely on their secure servers. If your purchase is routed directly through one of our manufacturing sources, your purchase will he handled on their verified SSL secured network. No matter what you buy from us, or how your transaction is routed, you can be sure it is handled on secure remote servers by experienced payment processing agents.

  • If I sign up for your newsletter are you going to bombard me with sales pitches?

  • No. You'll receive a company newsletter about once a month.

  • I just bought a book. Why should I register the purchase with you?

  • Registered customers receive notification of any changes, updates or new editions of their publication. If, for example, we discover an error in a publication, we have no way to notify unregistered users or furnish them with corrected information.

  • I just bought one of your court rule books. What if there are amendments to the rules after I get my book?

  • In general, our rule books are replaced annually. Unlike some other publishers, in jurisdictions where the bulk of the amendments take place on an annual schedule our titles are normally released after, and include, the annual amendments. In jurisdictions with irregular amendment patterns, or in the event of additional or unscheduled amendments, you will find the full text of all amendments not incorporated in your volume in our Online Updates area, organized by year.

  • There's a place on the order form for print books to enter a discount code. Where can I get a discount code?

  • Newsletter subscribers regularly receive discount codes for our products and services. We also periodically run promotional specials offering discounts on our website. Please note, due to contractual restrictions we are unable to offer discounts on products purchased directly from Amazon.

  • I just bought a book, and the receipt is made out to somebody else. Are you outsourcing?

  • No. We use modern print-on-demand technology and a streamlined payment and fulfillment system for all print products. This means you aren't paying for us to maintain a warehouse and shipping department, and our books are never out of stock or backordered and ship promptly. In most cases our books ship directly from the manufacturer to our customer. These transactions may be handled on remote SSL secure servers by a third party payment processor who collects and processes payments and issues receipts. We do not collect or store any personal data on our site unless you register or subscribe, in which case all we have is your email address. Most of our products are also available from Amazon, in which case they handle the transaction as they would any other purchase made from them.

  • So if I have a problem, who do I contact?

  • You contact us. We stand behind every product and every transaction, and if there's a problem we will make it right for you and we will take it up with our manufacturer or distributor. The only exception is in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with a product and want a refund. In that case, please follow the specific instructions you received with your product. Your refund will be handled promtly and courteously by the payment processing agent, and more quickly than if we get involved as a middleman. If you do not receive specific instructions for dealing with a refund request, contact us directly.

  • I saw your book listed for sale online under a different publisher's name. How can that be?

  • As part of their service, our print-on-demand book manufacturers provide an ISBN number for each book. Some retail outlets automatically list the original purchaser of an ISBN as the publisher of the book.

  • Where are your books produced, and by whom?

    All editorial and production work for the contents of all of our products is completed by our own staff working out of offices in Akron, Ohio. Our books are also printed in the United States.

  • Do you offer volume discounts?

  • Yes. Use our contact form to request information about volume discounts and let us know how you prefer to be contacted. One of our Managing Editors will contact you at your convenience.

  • Can you produce custom publications for companies or agencies?
